Hedera powers new AI Agent Governance framework for governments

Hedera has taken a major step forward in advancing artificial intelligence transparency through a new partnership with EQTY Lab and Accenture.

The three organizations introduced a blockchain-powered governance framework called Verifiable Governance and Sovereignty for AI Agents.

This system, revealed at the NVIDIA GTC conference, aims to give governments and regulated enterprises greater control and accountability over autonomous AI operations.

Built on the Hedera Consensus Service, the technology integrates multi-agent orchestration, verifiable compute, and enterprise blockchain attestations.

It enables every AI action to be permanently recorded and verified, ensuring compliance with operational and regulatory standards.

Running on NVIDIA DGX Cloud, the framework enhances AI sovereignty and security while maintaining efficiency across mission-critical public services.

EQTY Lab introduces verifiable governance through Hedera

EQTY Lab’s digital trust layer brings a new level of verifiable governance to automated systems. By anchoring these workflows on Hedera’s distributed ledger, every AI-driven decision and data interaction becomes traceable and tamper-proof.

Governments can monitor compliance in real time, verifying that AI agents adhere to rules and policies without manual intervention.

Accenture’s integration of this governance framework into a multi-agent gateway allows secure human–machine collaboration.

The model can be applied to areas such as emergency management and cybersecurity, where accountability is crucial. This marks a significant move toward trusted AI adoption in the public sector.

Industry leaders see the collaboration as a breakthrough in responsible AI development.

Bryan Rich from Accenture said:

The key obstacle to scaled adoption of AI agentic systems has been the difficulty of evidencing compliance with policies needed for the data, models, and compute. This solution creates a new methodology for run time observability that is critical to building trustworthy and safe AI agentic solutions.

HBAR Inc., a Hedera subsidiary, reaffirmed its goal to foster innovation and accountability in AI solutions.

By merging blockchain transparency with advanced AI infrastructure, this partnership establishes a verifiable blockchain system of record for the next generation of government AI workflows.
